We are the only supplier in Norway that has control of the whole value chain from ocean to plate. We only supply Norwegian prawns fished in Catch Area FAO 27. We produce frozen raw prawns shell on, IQF-cooked prawns shell on and IQF-cooked and peeled prawns.

Characteristic taste

Coldwater prawns are healthy. They contain a mere 0.8 grams of fat per 100 grams and are a source of important nutrients and vitamins, including vitamins A, B, D and E. One hundred grams of coldwater prawns covers your daily requirement for vitamin E, and the prawns are an excellent source of vitamin B12.

The coldwater prawn thrives at great depths – up to 1,300 metres. In the Barents Sea, prawns live in cold water, which means that they grow more slowly than further south. This is one of the things that give the coldwater prawn its characteristic taste.
